In 2001 I finished reading 30 books and abandoned 4 more.

My favourites were probably The White Bone and Mr Sandman, both by Barbara Gowdy, so 2001 was my year of discovering this marvelous author. But thanks to a friend I also discovered the ‘Havers/Lynley mystery series’ by Elizabeth George. And I have great memories of The Male Cross-dresser Supportgroup by Tama Janowitz and A Human Stain by Philip Roth.
