The official starting time here in Holland is actually later today, at 2pm, but as I told you during the Sunday Salon it didn’t feel right last time to begin so late in the day. So here I am, at 10am!
Starting with: Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger. I finished Murakami’s Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman during the week so I’ll be continuing Niffenegger. Also: David Mitchell’s new novel The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet was in the mail this week, so I hope to be able to pick that up as well!!!
As you can see, I’m still in possession of my iPhone. For now. If I can’t behave and keep twittering / checking the Interwebs all the time, Mr Gnoe will wrestle it from me and guard it. I’m allowed to check in shortly every 2-3 hours, so I’d better be off to go read quickly now! LOL ;)
Good luck to all read-a-thonners today! I know we’ll have fun together! :)
PS in case you’re wondering how I plan to compensate my early start: I’ll either end at the same time tomorrow morning — going for o-hanami cherry blossom viewing anyway — and/or I’ll detract my hours of going to a butoh performance tonight. So no need to worry! ;)
