Although I hate cross-posting I’ve decided to post my bento’s in my own journal as well as on Bentolunches group. So here are last three bento’s (#6 you might have seen already by following the link on July 23rd’s post).

July 23rd ~ 100% Japanese bento (#6)

    100% Japanese bento (#6)

Top

  • edammmmmmmmmmame! (soy beans)
  • shredded daikon
  • tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet)
  • sushi with avocado, cucumber and red bell pepper
  • container with sauce of soy, mirin and dashi

Bottom

  • shredded scallions
  • a bit of leftover seaweed and sesame salad in plastic wrap (bought; it’s probably wakame salad)
  • onigiri filled with sake-soaked cranberries
  • maki rolls with cucumber, omelet and scallions (the shredded daikon is the topping for this sushi)
  • one sushi roll as in top tier
  • tofu puffs (inarizushi)

On the side

  • cherries

July 25th ~ Bunny Bento (#7)

Bento 7Bento 7 without the beans

Top

  • green beans with daikon bunnies and sesame dressing in container in bottom tier (delicious!)
  • radish and shiitake flowers
  • parsley
  • onigiri from leftover tofupuff-filling and scallions
  • dried apricot soaked overnight in apple juice
  • sushi rice with furikake beneath the beans (picture on the right)

Bottom

On the side

  • wild nectarine parts dressed with lime juice to mix with the yogurt
  • huge rice cracker and tiny Bounty ;)

The second picture is without the ‘bunny layer’. I took a solo photo of it but that was blurred :( At least you have a clear view of my sushi rice with furikake :) Most of the contents is organic.

July 26th ~ Nibbly nutty bento (#8)

Top

  • La vache qui rit (light)
  • sliced radishes
  • one more Japanese style pumpkin skewer
  • roasted almonds
  • cheese crackers
  • salad dressing made of balsamic vinegar and olive oil with black truffle (yummy)

Bottom

    Bento 8

  • salad of rucola and romaine, cherry tomatoes, black olives, fresh basil leaves, capers, dried cranberries and cheese-balls with nuts and olive (I should have taken the picture last night when it looked more fresh ;)
  • corn cob
  • dried tomato
  • mix of different roasted nuts to put on the salad

On the side

  • some cherries and (again) yoghurt

Not shown: some more cheese crackers and a organic mix of wheat, peanuts and fried lentils and chickpeas. I put those in a little bag on top of the pumpkin but the picture I took of it was horrible ;)
