I like to participate in challenges. Being a ‘Gnu’ (Gnoe) I call it herding ;) Although sometimes it feels more like a stampede…
These are my current challenges –I’ve got a separate page for those that have ended.
In January of this year I decided I would limit the amount of reading challenges for which I need to post reviews, because writing these blogposts cost me A LOT of time. I guess I’m slow ;) Of course I could start writing reviews in my native language, Dutch. That would make a small difference, but I think the extra effort of posting in English is worth it. There’s such a big community of Book Bloggers out there!
The page ends with my ongoing personal ‘Best Foreign Books’ Challenge that started in 2008.

How fun!! You do have different challenges than I do this year!! I really like Elizabeth Moon’s Vatta series for sci fi – fast-paced and fun! I just finished How to Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe, which was totally wild, different (2011). There are some great, great classic sci fi, too – CS Lewis wrote some. I love Anne MacCaffrey’s books – LOVE.
It’s fun to jump out and try something new and different. Checking reviews helps not pick a hard one, too. Have fun!! :-)
