I read Paradise years ago and was fascinated by her use of language. It was a really engaging read. Not fluff, in other words. Fun poll !!!

Funny that the poll is all going same way now, but the comments are deviating a little. I have only read White Teeth (which I did as an audiobook years ago and loved). I tend to love Atwood and Toni Morrison, but haven’t read these yet. I’ve heard very mixed things about Goon Squad. A colleague whose taste I trust loved it, but I’ve heard others say they didn’t like it. And I don’t know anything about The Accidental and haven’t read Ali Smith yet. I loved Oryx and Crake, not a fan of Egan or Ali Smith. Toni Morrison & Zadie Smith are also must-reads (or so I’ve heard). Happy reading :)
