Hi Chris & gamene, thanks for stopping by! I'm not sure what to think of gooseberries yet... I just eat them like that but can only handle a few at the time! LOL Not sure if I would like it in crisp... possible with some toher berries as well?

Megan, what a pity you were too late to sign up this season but hey, it might have been a bit much to handle with all the 'new house' stuff anyway? It's something to look forward to for next summer! LOL as if you wouldn't look forward to summer already ;)

I think we've got quite a long CSA season, from May to Christmas. The good thing about the 'new' farm we discovered is that you can just order & pick up your veggies, so you can hop in anytime during season.

Love your menu plan! Sounds delicious. I had gooseberries for the first time last year (I think). My mom grew them. I made a crisp. It was tart but good.

The taste of kapucijner peas lies between garden peas and broad beans, so you can use them accordingly. The downfall of them is that their starch contents increases quickly when cooked or preserved too long. So they're best used as fresh as possible.

Hee hee, of course you can! You're both welcome, like I said: I like to share!

And Beth, I might seem more organised than I really am... I just hate to throw away food but if I don't keep track of what needs to be processed, there are certain things that go to spoil. Especially veggies I don't know what to do with right away! Our csa packet contains stuff we'll never "just feel like" eating if we don't go and look for a recipe that sounds good!

So. Every once in a while I get upset about how much food we chuck out and I kick myself in the butt ;)

Also, I usually don't plan all days so we're flexible. Or we swap day plans. It just depends on our schedule and how much is in the fridge. And if we don't feel like eating what's on the menu, we just don't. But it's a great handhold to have the plan ready!

I love to plan my menus ahead of time. It saves me a lot of time (shopping, preparing and thinking). Your menus look fantastic. So healthy. Your carrot spread caught my eye. I'm so glad you agree to share it. I look forward to that.

Oh, if Beth's coming, can I come too?

Beth, I try to be organized - sometimes I have a menu plan for the whole week (which I usually don't keep to) but recently I'm happy if I know what I'm eating on the day and the next day!
