I am a huge Murakami fan, but this sentence early on seems to sum up a most intriguing writer quite aptly:

“After nine Murakami’s I pretty much knew what to expect: a little supernatural, complicated relationships, unobtainable love, desperate searches for lost loves, death by freak accidents and suicides, music and food.”

I like his novels more than short stories as well, but I look forward to finishing my copy of Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman. Thanks for the great review!

I don’t think I’ve read this book (unless I’ve forgotten all about it again), but like Gnoe, I’m not really great with stories. They’re too short for me.
